Pequeñas Promesas
The objects around us are static landscapes, accomplices of a moment, witnesses of our history. They wait in silence, they wait and hide in their entrails the time that has turned to dust. Their often unnoticed presence reminds us of what we have forgotten, or of that pending task that we are not yet able to face. They become silent beings, promises frozen in time.
In this exhibition of large format drawings, are portrayed, objects and places that have remained abandoned, waiting to be activated by someone.
They have witnessed the passing of the years, they represent decisions or promises that in spite of time, remain unfulfilled. Each of these objects inhabits a dense and dark atmosphere that shows their loneliness and abandonment. They represent, nothingness, oblivion, the silence that produces fear and the attraction to emptiness.
